ShopMissA Haul and Review!

Hello hello I am back with another review for you all! This time, on products I found on ShopMissA.com. Now for those who aren't familiar with the site, ShopMissA sells cosmetics, jewelry and accessories for $1.00 USD! (That's about $1.37 CAD for my Canadian ladies). I first heard about this website thanks to Laura Lee's video on her testing out their products to create a face using $1 makeup and I thought "wow, some of these products look interesting". So, I took it upon myself to make a purchase and try out the makeup! So let's get into it!

The first two items I picked up were these Wonder Blender sponges. One resembles the Beauty Blender while the other sponge replicates the Real Techniques sponge. Right of the bat pulling these out of the packaging, these sponges are HARD. They were really tough and I kid you not, they can sort of bounce! So I was taken aback when I took them out to try. In the photo the right one is dampened. Dampening the sponge softened it up but it's a very dense sponge. While doing my due diligence in researching these products a lot of people were saying that this sponge is more suitable for using with setting powder as opposed to blending out foundation/ concealer. So, I think I'm gonna stick with that advice for these.

I picked up 3 different shades of concealer to try out for my under eye area.

Two of the colours are colour correctors and the other is a regular shade.

Here are the shades swatched on my arm. Right now, I like combining yellow and beige in order to create this light hightlighting shade for my under eye area. My skin tone is on the yellow/ golden/ olive undertones, so using the peach colour under the beige gives off a pink look which isn't really my style. These concealers are hella THICK! They also dry down pretty quick so they take a bit longer to blend out perfectly, but with the COVERAGE I get on these, I don't mind spending my extra minute to blending these out. I'm very impressed that these only cost $1.37! A possible repurchase for me!

Next I picked up 4 shades of these Amuse Smokey Eyes eyeshadow singles. These were the same colours that Laura Lee picked up in her haul and when she tested them out I thought that these colours were perfect crease colours and I had to pick them out!

These colours are all matte and blend out so effortlessly!

The 4 colours I chose were Teddy, Desert, Paprika, and Chestnut. Teddy is a light warm brown shade that's a perfect transition shade for my skin tone. Desert is a yellow brown that I love! Paprika is a warm toned reddish orange colour, that looks like the spice its named after. Chestnut, although showing up quite plum in this photo, is actually a cooler toned dark brown shade. These apply really well to the lids and I really like them. I will say that if you go now to find these shades, they just might be sold out because Laura Lee got all of us to rush over to this site to buy these eyeshadows! Overall, I'm pretty impressed in the pigmentation for an eyeshadow that costs $1.37 each!!

Next, I picked up this blush and highlighter duo by Amuse. Laura Lee had picked up this product but in a different shade.

This duo is in the shade 4. It comes with a pretty peach shade and a highlighter with golden flecks in it. I picked this shade up because I didn't have a highlighter colour that looked remotely like this and I thought it would look great on my skin tone. Looking at Laura Lee's video with the duo that she bought, the colours were highly pigmented so I had high hopes for these!

I was not disappointed! The blush shade is absolutely gorgeous and the highlighter shade is GIVING ME LIFE! I love that this is a duo of both blush and highlight because it's perfect for travelling with. I am incredibly happy with this purchase and I would definitely buy more colours (you know, when they come back in stock DANG WE RUTHLESS)

Alright, here is where I spent some coin my loves! I purchased NINE of their liquid lipsticks. 7 of them are matte and 2 are metal finishes. From doing my due diligence, I saw that these were amazing colours and the selection on the site is insane. I went ahead and picked up colours that I knew I would like as well as some of the metal shades since I've never tried metal liquid lipsticks before.

Now I did want to include this photo in here. That is the duofoot applicator that was in one of the metal lipsticks. It completely fell apart as soon as I pulled it out of the tube. Overall, I think the duofoot applicators are very cheap feeling and I do not like them at all. I was extremely disappointed in the quality of the applicators.

Here are all 9 shades of the liquid lipsticks swatched. The first shade is Divine which is a peachy nude. Swatched, it looks great however on my lips, it's a whole difference story. The shade does not suit my skin tone at ALL. However, on a lighter skin tone this is a beautiful pigmented shade. Bombshell is one of my favourite shades, it's a warm toned brown nude, definitely an everyday shade for me. Blogger is another fave, being in the same colour family as Bombshell but just a couple of shades darker.
Muse is a fun bright orange-red shade, perfect for the summer time. Famous is a reddish-terracotta shade that is beautiful and creamy.
Fab is a nice berry shade, however it's a bit patchy. Two thin layers as opposed to one layer will give a better result. Drama is this vampy, plum shade that's great for the Fall (but we all know I'll be rocking this any time!) For such a deep shade, it applied very evenly.
Moon is a frosty pink/ rose gold shade that is very beautiful and very pigmented. Digital is a fun deep metallic purple that pairs so well with Drama. I wouldn't wear these metal lips on their own, however I would wear them in the center of my bottom lip alongside another shade. Wearing them full is not my style at all but just adding that pop of metal onto the center of my lips add more drama and I can roll with that!

Here is a photo of the colours drying down. Now I didn't take a picture of them fully dry because they do NOT BUDGE. AT ALL. As I am writing this blog my left arm is STAINED my friends! These definitely are long lasting and super pigmented. I would recommend them for those who want to try out a shade but aren't committed to spending more dollars on a more expensive brand.

My overall thought on the lippies, I love the actual product however I hate the duofoot applicator. It just makes me feel like I'm using something cheap even though the product doesn't feel that way.

Overall, I'm liking everything I got. I definitely found items that I would repurchase and I'm intrigued enough that I think I want to try their a2o line of cosmetics! If you've shopped from this website, what are your thoughts?
